2005 X5 in need of new tires

I am conflicted on what tires to put on my 2005 X5 4.4 w sport pkg. I have on now the Bridgestone Dueler. Nice tire. Quiet. However very soft and didn't last very long. I live in central california so I don't need a "winter tire". I don't mind paying a little extra for quality.

Any thoughts? Please help...

Michelin Energy MXV4. Just type in Michelin in the search field.
Lots of results available.

Yeah when I had my '01 I had the Michelin Energy's twice on it--60K miles and then never got to see the other 60K as I got hit and totaled it at 105K miles. They are money.

Ok ya'll. After looking into the Michelin Energy MXV4 I've found that they don't make these tires in the size I need. My car takes 255/50-19 on front and 285/45-19 on back. I could only find these tires in 17's....Michelin does make other tires for my car, but expensive. What kind of life can I expect? Are they worth the price?

i think michelin is overpriced garbage. with that said, this is only my opinion. i ran michelin on my e39 wagon as well as the diamaris on my X5 and found them to be garbage. i believe you can get a better tire for less money. look into continental or hankook for summer tires.

I was going to mention earlier if you have the 19"s (4.4 Sport) they don't make the Energy MXVs in that size they only come in the Diamari's (which are not good from what everyone says). But they make the Latitude in that size--have you gone onto Discount Tire's site at all to look at what's available, specs, etc (below) ? The Latitudes have the highest treadware rating--I don't know much about Hankook I stick with the main brands.
