How much did he charge for what he did?

If he can't do the correct adjustments he probably shouldn't have taken on the job.

Agreed with mobilejo.

The only thing that i've ever charged for in the absence of being able to do an alignment is a suspension check charge IF the reason we could not do the alignment was due to worn out parts.

If the guy didn't have the tools and wasn't able to adjust, most he should charge is $25.00 give or take a few

having said all of that, DEFINITELY get the work done either at the stealer or the indy. The specs are fairly far out of alignment in multiple areas. You will scrub the tires faster then a BMW already chews rubber

well he dont charge anything, because he said that he did not do it 100% job done,
also he said that he has a bmw and he cant do his alignment there too,and he works there ,

but i went to firestone and i have app on Tuesday ,the guy went into the computer and looked at the info i had from this other guys, and he said ,that he will do it,you dont need any special tools, the computer was telling him that what tools he needs. so will see ,i dont want to go to the dealer they ask for like 200$ is too much for me right now,i spent 700$ in 4 tires....

thank you,

Can't say fairer than that, and its not like he has made it any worse so you have no issues there.

I guess all that can be said has already been said by someone who actually does this professionally:

There are Indy's who can do FULL alignment adjustments for alot less than BMW. I don't know if any 'special' tools are required but if there are, some Indy's have them because I get mine done for 1/4 of the cheapest dealer's charge for full alignment (here in the UK) and the printout shows the full before & after readings - everything is green when my guy finishes.

ok,
today i had the app. with firestone,

and the guy did all the work the toe and cambers,

all went okay,but one problem...

he said that the camber on the pass/rear can not be adjusted more as is at max!

here are the readings:

so in this case is there anything i can do,or is fine right now by the latest readings?

thank you!!!

your first work order shows the camber at -2.0 (before and after)
the second shop has it at -2.4 (actual) and -2.3 (before)

not sure, but either your upper control arm need to be replaced or lower ball joint as that is what most owners have replaced to correct this.

well ,i went to the dealer and ask them about this problem too,

the first think he asked, did the shop that did my alignment used "sand bags"?

i said no,because i called back firestone and asked, and the guy from bmw said that maybe where the problem is!,you put the sand bags and the car gets more heavier ,and readings will come more accurate !,

and about the ball joint and rear upper....

before i went to both shops i raise my x5 up,and shake every part in the suspension to make sure i dont have any play, and also moved the wheel up/down right/left,, also i did with the x5 down and the ground, and i did not notice any play at all!...

does anyone knows how to check a shock? like if how to tell if is bad?
i am just saying,i hear no noise!no leaks,or other things but if is bad on the side maybe it has to do with alignment ? also?

thank you,
