Can the intake manifold acuator or disa valve cause cylinder misfires. Getting codes on random cylinders. Initially it was cylinder 5. Swapped five coil for cylinder one to see if code followed but then got misfire on 4 and 2. Replaced intake control valve, the one directly behind the disa. Replaced a couple of worn vacume hoses from secondary pump side. New coils and plugs last summer along with new ccv. No leaks found in any of the air tubes. When i did the intake air control valve i did noticed the top pin was gone on the butterfly of the disa. The wing part still moved appropriatley or so i thought. Today while searching youtube i found a couple of videos showing what happens when this valve is toast and from that im pretty sure mine needs replacing. The wing part is loose and the videos of new ones show they have some resistance. Any ideas if it can be related to misfires? Bout ready to take it and have the diagnostics done at the dealership.
Thanks
