Hazards flashing while car is off

2002 4.4i - I'm at work and someone walked in and told me that my lights were flashing. The parking lights/hazard lights. They seem to be flashing really fast but no sound is coming out. No alarm sound or anything. I walked out and disarmed my car and it stopped so I re-armed it and came back in. 10 minutes later I got out and the lights are flashing rapidly again. I unplug the negative battery cable as to reset something (idk) and go back in to work. I walk out 10 minutes later and they're flashing again. This has happened 3 times already. I'm stuck at work for 1 hour and 15 more minutes. Should I unplug the batter?
Does anyone have any clue what this might be? I hope I'm able to start the car and drive it home when I'm done.

My issue ended up being a dying battery. I guess my hatch was open and I had no idea. Somehow I must have pressed the button in my jeans while close enough to the car without noticing. So it sat that way all day and my battery died.

The hazards flash like this when the alarm has been tripped and the siren has timed out.
