Which rims for my '05 X5?

Hey Gang, got a dilemma I need your help resolving: do I stick with my current 18" rims or get the 20's?

My stock ones are 18x8.5 with 255/55-18 all around:

The ones I am potentially looking at getting are staggered 20x9.5 (front) and 20x10.5 (rear) with 275/40WR20 on the front and 315/35WR20 rear:

Personally, I like your rims better than the chrome 20s... I just don't like the look of the chrome. Normal 20s would be my vote.

Personally, I love the 20" 4.6is rims in chrome - especially on a black X5. Here are pics of TripleX5's chrome 20's - http://www.xoutpost.com/articles.php?...icle&artid=147

If you live in an area that gets snow, I'd recommend you keep the 18" rims for a winter setup.

Get the 20's for sure but : on the chrome.

I'd rather have the 18's than chrome on my bimmer. IMO it looks tacky unless it's a 7-series

Keep the 18" for winter if you get snow. Otherwise go for 20" all year round.

How is chrome on a 7-series any different from chrome on an x5, m3 or 5-series?

Maybe it's just me. Sorry I made such a brash statement, but I really don't like chrome on 7-series cars either, but if it has to be done then i would say you could get away with it on the 7-series....it's just something I've grown up around, big body sedans like the S-class and the 7-series with 20s and 22 inch spinners. I think the X5 looks better with non-chrome wheels, but it's just a personal opinion. To each his own, if you're gonna do it anyways, I'm sure you can make it look good. alllll the ladies will love you anyway
