I have an 06 4.8is that is still under CPO until the end of the year. Recently started to occasionally blow some smoke out the exhaust and burn through oil pretty quickly. Seemed to happen when left idling for a while. Read on the forums that it may be Oil separator or some other valve. Was hoping it was a simple fix.
Well took it into the dealer 6 weeks ago and still no fix!!
They said it was an issue with the head and valve seals and it was at the machine shop. Then they were waiting on parts from Germany. Now head is back at machine shop and if this doesn't fix it, they will have to order a new head.
I have been driving their 328i loaner car and can't beleive its taken this long. I JUST WANT MY TRUCK BACK!! lol.
