Reverse camera install
I am installing a reverse camera in my X5 2003. I have taken the plastic bit off with the number lights and feeding the wires to the inside, but there is a plastic cover on the other side of the boot lid which I can't get off. There were two black screws on it which I have taken out, but the whole plastic cover on the inside isn't coming off and I don't want to break it. Does anyone know how it comes off? |

Hi,
Thanks, done that now and it has come off. Do you know where I can find the positive supply to the reverse light? |

I have connected the camera and I am getting a meassage on my dash that the number plate light is not working, but it is. The number plate light is the one built into the camera. Does anyone know what to do to reslove this?

Is it an LED light ? I know they often cause error messages when replacing indicators etc. Have a search for solutions to those. I think there's a fix with a resistor or capacitor or something, or you recode the car so that it just ignores it.

Reverse camara install
I have question, rather, how to identify a TV module? Can anyone tell me where it would be located?
I don't get TV option on my Nav Screen. Does it mean no TV module? I asked this question because I know you need to have tV module to retrofit reverse camera. Thanks in advance |

How do you recode your car? Has anyone solved the problem with a resistor? |

Search for a shop or person that does that (the coding) in your area.
Long story short, you hook up a laptop to the OBD port, you run the NCS software and overwrite the values for "check license plate bulbs". I think I posted the exact values names in the other rear cam thread, but the person doing the coding should know about them without any problem. |

Thanks for the information. The problem resolved with resistor.
Thanks. |
