Although my X5 was garage kept in all I recently developed a severe leak on the front driver side foot well. So I hit the forum to find some valuable information and found the issue with the kinked sunroof drain tubes which I managed to fix, but I still have a major leak coming from the corners of the sunroof (Non Panoramic). So I am going to try and post up a diy for the headliner removal which I am in the process of doing.

Thanks nigwhyrito ? But when I initially purchased it from the dealer a friend at the time who worked for service told me not to get a panoramic model for the fact that they had some troubles with its initial launch. So I ended up getting a standard model sunroof. Honestly, I think I made a wise decision because I can now see how many of us owners are plagued with the problems associated with them. I have a feeling that the headliner removal will probably be exactly the same except for the fact that you have more screws to remove on the outer portion of the top of the panoramic cassette part. The weather has not been too great over here so I have had to wait to get this done, but as soon as i'm done i'll post something up. If anyone can help me out it seems that I have to remove the sliding glass portion of the sunroof to get to the headliner screws is that correct? I really see no other way to get to them. |
