Odd thing on my car

just noticed today while getting out of my x that on the quarter panel window near the trunk there is a heating element orange line and on the passenger side there inst anything. I never really noticed if it worked or if ice ever melted off on the drivers side but is this also on other ppl's x? did my glass get smashed in previously by the other owner and i never knew about it?

Sorry if you already knew this but the driver side rear window encases the FM antenna and may be mistaken for heating element. If you were referring to something else, again sorry.

wow, i did not no that i thought the FM antenna was actually right above the door of the trunk. that sounds about right than cause i didn't see the point of having a heating element for that part of the window since i dont see out of it anyways lol THanks for the info!
