2005 X5-Service Engine Soon (pulling code?)
Service Engine Soon light came on. I checked the gas cap which felt loose and tightend it. It's been a few days and I drove it every day but the light's still on. Is there a way to pull the code to see what's wrong? |

You can go to autozone and they will read the code for you with an acron scanner for free. It will give you 3 to 5 different things that might be causing the light. I bought a peake code reader that is bmw specific and will narrow the problem down a bit more. Your other alternative if you were having serious problems would be to take it to the stealership and let them diagnose for a mere $130.
