I've never been fond of the current auto shifters in BWM (similar style in the OP's picture). I always like the older "manual" style shifter like those in the E53. Not my cup of tea either.

Guys,
be warned. I have ordered one, costed me nearly double the price until I had it here in Austria - of course my problem. The reason why I am posting this is the fact that it broke today. I have always used it very soft because the feel is like it would not be robust. Tried to repair it and what I found was somehow shocking. You can disassemble the whole thing with the nail of your thumb - it is simply put together without anything like a Chinese $0.5 play car for kids. The cost for manufacturing this thing is like $3 - 5. My advise would be: do not buy one. That product will break in each car after some weeks. GL, Helmuth |
