How to make interior lights turn on when unlocking

Hey!

I'm a very new owner of a used 2001 BMW X5 4.4i and with my excitement I ordered a set of UHP LED Angel Eye Headlights, the same ones on stealthauto.com anyways after a rigorous install I got the AE's to turn on when I turn it to accessories and then they stay on while the car is on...I tapped into the driver side front footwell light in hopes of having the "remote on" feature...however, after i tapped into it I soon realized that the AE's come on when the doors are opened INSTEAD of when they are unlocked....My question is, is there a switch in the car that allows the interior lights to turn on when I unlock my car. right now it only comes on when i open the door. Also I have a viper alarm that came with the car..maybe this is where the problem is?....if so can i re-wire it?...any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

What!? AEs tapped to the interior light??

All BMWs have the option to have the cabin lights come on when the door is unlocked. And you can shut it off by putting in the key to ON and pressing the center button for 2-3 seconds

That's right.
If your interior don't come on when you unlock, press the central button on dome light console and it should activate them
