Question about manual adjusting xenon autolevel headlightsght

I'm getting confusing info as how to manually adjust the up/down xenons. In this forum i found that turning the screw clockwise (closer to center) the light will go down. On other searches it says opposite. I would like to know if someone has done it on 2001 X5 with xenon and auto leveling which way or screw is up and down and left and right.

Thank you.

Thanks. I am aware of the search feature and found plenty of suggestions and instructions and even googled a lot and still everyone is writing differently - one will clockwise = down, another up, left adjustment screw for that and right for this and vise versa. I wanted to know for sure from someone that has 01 BMW X5 with xenons and has done this to let me know what is for what. I don't want to go to stealership with a question like this and them charging me a lot for a simple fix.
Thanks again.

Thank you Quicksilver. I played a little today after I read your suggestion. I think I got it right and my lights aiming looks fine. I am wondering though if dealerships have the computerized adjusting machine and how much they would charge to be adjusted on such machine. If anyone knows - let me know...

Never heard of a computerized adjusting machine. I believe the housing comes from the factory adjusted to specs. Last time the dealer did the adjusting for me it was complimentary.

Very good. Maybe I will ask them to check mine and let me know if they look ok, if they do, then I did a good job. If not, I hope they adjust them for free

Not sure how you're going to go about it but take it for what it's worth, I wouldn't tell the dealer you did anything yourself. Better to play dumb about most stuff. That way they can never blame anything on you.
