Pulled the trigger, 4.8is

Thanks for all of the input I've received (and some very gracious offers from boarders willing to do some research), I finally pulled the trigger and traded my '01 X5 4.4i on a newsed 4.8is

Particulars:
2005 4.8is
Sapphire Black with Black Leather
Navigation System
4800 miles

They all have all the bells and whistles, so no need to go into too much detail there, I suppose! I got it for $61,900, so it's a decent deal, but not fabulous (I wanted to pay 60k even for it )

The original owner is a affluent man in Cincinnati. He bought the X new, but traded it a week ago for a Z8. He never drove it, so he thought he could be with out it. Oddly enough, he's a very well known Porsche race car driver! (Can we say Cayenne? No....)

I didn't CPO it, because I never keep a car that long, so for me, it didn't make a ton of sense. I did the records check, and it also had no blemishes at all. It needs a couple things like the infamous water in the headlights that X5's are good at, but other than that, it's fantastic.

I'll post pics when I can get it clean enough not to be embarrased

Scotty, Congrats on your new 4.8...
Envious.

Either one you were shopping would be great.
Remember, you have Lots of BMW Warr&Maint left, years and miles.
I wouldn't think twice about non-CPO...(it's a jive coverage, NEway, imo.)
