Ipod MP3 auxiliary cable Help
This site talks about a radio built before 2002 and after 2002. I just had my radio replaced with: RMFD Radio BMW Business and Professional (whatever that means). Can i use one of these cables? Best Sellers BMW Aux input cable The description talks about having the dealer setting the compatibility. Should I just call the dealer? or do you think I can get one of these and install it myself, i don't have a lot of patience for radios and such? Last edited by Ghost-Flame; 10-22-2011 at 02:59 PM. |

If you got a newer radio (actually the "Business CD" player part) then you should be able to just use the cable you linked. I cannot remember the date from which the radios are compatible with BMW's auxiliary cable but I am pretty sure it started late 2002. The production date is on the back of the radio unit. You will have to remove it to check. Both versions have the requisite input but for some reason, the older version doesn't work with the cable.
