Do I read the whole thing or just page 6 like on your link?
I'm not sure I understood what's the conversation about exactly. Is the abs module causing the error? |

No, they had other issues that was fixed by replacing the yaw sensor but the EBV error stayed. In INPA you can look at all the sensors in real time and look at the yaw. You should see the yaw reading >0 output indicating all is good despite the EBV error.

Oh I'm not trying to replace it, I just wanted to figure out this error and how to fix it. It looks like since this car was released, nobody figured this error.
I've read this thread in its entirety and maybe another 5-10 threads. Everyone is talking about either the speed sensor or coding the option from active to inactive. So looks like the speed sensor doesn't fix it. And I don't want to code it out, because that doesn't fix anything. I'm curious to find out that is causing this error. I have not seen this UK thread you linked to. I've read it now and it's kind of a mishmash of stuff and very short. No solution and no follow up. The only thing I read that was interesting is YAW sensor neither speed sensor triggers a EBV code.Usually it's caused by right rear wheel harness, check for nasty corrosion there. Quite common for E53. This is something I can investigate, although it's still kind of broad. Again there was no follow up, so it's hard to tell what was meant by that harness. Is he referring to the wheel well under the fender? Other than that, in all threads I've read so far, the only successful option was to change the sensor from active to inactive. But that doesn't solve the problem. Just like putting some electrical tape over the check engine light

Oh, got it. Sounds like you're approaching the end of the EBV error tunnel that many have ventured into in the past
. Just as a heads-up: there's a sign at the end of that tunnel that says in bold letters "Just fugghetaboutit! ...
