Which Door ??

I think one of my door actuators is shot, but how do I find out which one ?

The symptoms: the car is constantly reporting an open door; the auto window up and down isn't working which I believe is normal if a door is open; the interior lights are staying on permanently if all the doors are closed and the car is not locked; if I do lock the car the alarm goes off after a while because it thinks a door is open.

Seems clear a switch or something inside one of the actuators is gone south, but how do I find out which one ??

Bump .....

I'm pleading with you all now. Anyone know of a way to isolate which door actuator is giving me trouble ?

Came out this morning to a dead battery because the car thought someone opened the door overnight and all the interior lights came on.

Well if a door is "open" the OBC should tell you which one is doing it. I can't remember, but the OBC flashes which dor is the cluprit and to close it. But in case it is not, which is what I am assuming, then the only way I would know of is to disconnect the power to each door and norrowing the power down. So you would need to remove the door cards off all the doors and disconnect the power to all doors and then re-connect one door at a time and see which one is tripping an open door. But as I am writing this and thinking, the Dash should tell you which door is the culprit.

As for the window, if you hold the button down until the window goes all the way down, then pull it all the way up, then back down again, it should reset the window.

But what your problem sounds like is a short somewhere.
