Drip on Oil Pan Gasket tab
Also, there is a small amount of some substance next to this drip, almost like the former owner stopped a leak with some epoxy on the gasket. Any thoughts on what I should do? With such a small leak (and all the other things I've been doing to my recently purchased X5) I am thinking of just letting this go for a while if it is a big fix like oil pan gasket. |

All I know is you have to take damn near the whole suspension apart to get the oil pan off to put on a new gasket. If it were me it would have to be leaking about a qt a week for me to tackle that job.
Keep an eye on it , it probably won't get any worse. The pan gasket is metal and if torqued properly is 99.99% bullet proof. I can't tell where I'm looking in that picture. do you have a 3.0 or 4.x?
