Self level suspension warning if the headlights are turned on after the foglights...

We are getting ready to sell the 2001 4.4i. We've had around $6000 worth of work done to it so it's a solid car. One of the bad things is... If the car is started and then the fogs turned on followed by the headlights, only the drivers side light comes on and the SLS warning comes up. I always turn the lights on and then start the car. Then everything is fine.

I would love to get this taken care of before we sell it.


Any ideas?

Did you upgrade your fogs to HID or do any mods to your lighting?

If so, try disconnecting the fogs (or whatever mod) and see if you still get that same warning. If not, then a good chance it has something to do with that mod.

I never got that warning before when I upgraded my fogs to HID. However, moisture kept getting on the ballasts and I had to relocate them and rewire several times.

Now, sometimes when I turn on my fogs I get the self level warning. I dont know if its loose wiring or what but recheck any work you've done.

Try to think back to the last thing that was done before the error started happening.
