Front Axle Seal

Hey guys, I recently replaced my front left axle and I've started leaking a bit of oil which hasn't happened before. I reckon I might have damaged the front axle seal when removing the old axle and/or inserting the new one and am now slowly leaking differential fluid I was wondering if y'all had any tips on replacing the front axle seal.

Well, namely, can I just pry off the seal using a flathead screwdriver?

Also, since I will need to add some more oil into the differential, I wasn't sure if the drain/fill plug sizes were 14mm or 17mm bits.

I really hope this is the last bit of working on the car I have to do for a while. Been working on it for the past 4 weekends!

Thanks!

Whoops! I should have used the search function, har har har. I found an earlier post about this very same question! For reference, I'm talking about http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...axle-seal.html
