I think you need to ask yourself the question; would BMW change the design of their throttle body in order to increase power/torque and reduce fuel consumption by the amounts claimed in that advertising?

There have been a number of different designs of these types of devices sold over the years. I have seen first hand on a couple of old carby cars where they did make marginal differences, particularly to economy, but I think their effect on anything fuel injected is negligible at best.

Some tests have shown that theoretically they can have an impact, as long as they are at least 1 meter long. Then you just have to deal with the fact that you have very poor throttle response (and you have a pipe sticking up 1 meter through your hood).

Put it in the same category as the turbinators, vortex generators, miracle magnets on the fuel line, brown's gas generators, and low restriction air filters.

damnit guys, that's because you don't know anything. You need muffler bearings and blinker fluid. Now that shit works.
