You are only gullible if you believe that it will give you a hp increase. It won't.

I think you need to ask yourself the question; would BMW change the design of their throttle body in order to increase power/torque and reduce fuel consumption by the amounts claimed in that advertising?

There have been a number of different designs of these types of devices sold over the years. I have seen first hand on a couple of old carby cars where they did make marginal differences, particularly to economy, but I think their effect on anything fuel injected is negligible at best.

Thanks guys. I was very sceptical but you just never know these days......

Some tests have shown that theoretically they can have an impact, as long as they are at least 1 meter long. Then you just have to deal with the fact that you have very poor throttle response (and you have a pipe sticking up 1 meter through your hood).

Put it in the same category as the turbinators, vortex generators, miracle magnets on the fuel line, brown's gas generators, and low restriction air filters.

I knew I shouldn't have gone and spent all that money on those things :p:

damnit guys, that's because you don't know anything. You need muffler bearings and blinker fluid. Now that shit works.

mattkins99 11-29-2011 01:31 PM

Don't forget cross drilled brake lines!

and a new radiator insulator and piston return springs!

In all seriousness I'd love to get before and afters on our dyno using these, just in case....
