Yea I was thinking ABS sensor as well. Take it out again, and clean it really well. Put back in. Reset your X. Also hit the brakes when the battery is disconnected. Should take out some residual juice.

I cleaned the sensor, was dirty... But apparently the lights are not able to be reset once tripped more then a few times because I cannot get them to go off at all no matter what. I have an appointment tomorrow to get them reset unless anyone has a better idea.

if it read a fault multiple times with the sensor it might need to be reset via gt1 or other type of diagnostic reader that does abs.

Please let us know what the fix turns out to be. I have a feeling you're going to end up replacing the wheel sensor. If the lights were not on immediately after re-assembly, then that's my guess. You didn't mess with the steering angle sensor so what else could it be? At least that's my thought. Not sure about the mutiple errors causing the problem. If you had a bad wheel sensor, it would read the error multiple times - like now. So, that would mean anyone who replaced a wheel sensor probably had to have the error deleted/reset. If they didn't need errors being cleared, then you have a bad wheel sensor that just needs to be replaced. I have not replaced a wheel sensor so maybe someone who has can chime in. All the times I've had those trifecta lights I could reset the steering angle sensor by doing the steering lock-to-lock. I haven't had to use the GT1 or go to the dealer to have it cleared because it was triggered by multiple times. Please keep us up to date and sorry if I steered you in the wrong direction (no pun intended). |

Yea, the lights came on as soon as I started to drive the truck right after I dropped it back on the ground... I just got back from a shop and waited an hour for them to come tell me that they dont have the right connector!! This is the most rediculous thing ever...
The dealer wants $120 to clear the code! I own a shop, I dont even charge for a diagnostic... Its good buisness!! Guess I should just buy the dang software. But oits hard to justify software that I will have sitting in the tool box for 10 years again before I use it again... |

Have you tried turning the Wheel bearing the opposite way round, the abs sensor only reads off one side of the wheel bearing not the drive shaft. It has to be the right way round to get a reading; I had the same problem too.

You know what, I bet thats the problem... a member is sending me his GT1, but that very well could be the problem.
Ill have to flip the bearing next weekend if the code does not clear. Lol, wouldnt that be a dumb mistake. Haha... I should know better then that! |
