Auto close the sunroof when the car is locked

i have searched many threads on this forum relating to auto close of the sunroof and they always get hijacked with the "We don't get auto close in the US" but so far cannot find an answer to whether anyone has been able to make the sunroof close when the car is locked....

I was thinking a very basic additional striker switch piggybacked into the sunroof switch so that when the car is locked it electrically presses the sunroof switch for you. It Would achieve the outcome, only issue is that power is removed from the internal switch so will most likely have to tap into the control box.............

Has anyone tried it or seen it done?
