Any cheap h7 hid bulb alternatives?

Hello, can anyone suggest cheap h7 bulb alternatives rather than the $100 oem?

Yes, I have factory Xenon..

I looked for the Philips Blue Vision on Ebay.. looks like they are coming out of Singapore and the UK.. but they say Xenon effect, so I guess they are not reall HID bulbs. I s anyone making reall HID's at a lower cost?

H7 is halogen, as far as light output of halogen, people rave about Osram Nightbreaker series; but you can only get them from UK/overseas (check eBay for seller). I am ordering fog version H3 from UK seller (4-8 days shiiping) to see if all the hoopla is true.

Sorry, didn't realize you are looking for HID, yesy D2S for projector style headlamps or D2R for regular reflector style.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe an H7 for your vehicle would be the halogen bulb, which is the inner bulb.

For the HID/Xenon bulb, that should be type D2S. I purchased a set from Khaolty, LLC. They have excellent customer service and I've run their bulbs (branded as an unknown GE, not General Electric) for two years now without issue. Make sure you purchase 2, they don't come as a set. Yes, that's what I thought too, in fact I purchased those type bulbs in your link. Only to find out when I took out the original HID bulb that's it's an H7. My DRL lights, or the inner bulbs, are normal halogen which are H1's. I have 06 X5 with factory HID. Here is pic of my H7 HID bulb. Notice the burnt mark.

You don't have xenon (HID) headlights then.

You might have projector lenses but have halogen headlights (H7 bulbs like in your pic).

Just because you have projector lenses does not mean you have xenon (HID) headlights.

Halogen headlight (H7, #16):

Xenon headlight (D2S, #3). I use D2C with no problems:
