time to put on the snows? in CT

What do you guys think. I am considering putting them on this weekend. I actually can't wait to do it considering I bought 20" flat black rims along with Blizzaks. Should look pretty good on my black 4.8is.

ALSO, what is everyone's opinion on putting 25mm spacers on the back tires? My backs are usually 315 and my blizzaks are 275 so there will be a small gap but I have heard nothing but negative comments on putting spacers on my car. Any thoughts?

Here in the DC metro area the weather isn't that bad yet. I have 20x9.5 with 275 winter tires ready to put on when things get worse.

I use either 25 or 30mm spacers currently with 20x11 in the rear with 315s. I'm going to leave the spacers on as I don't think it will be a problem.

I used to run the same wheels (20x9.5) with 295 and the same spacers, albeit with summer tires.

I think the spacers won't make much difference, either way, so if you like the look (which I do) go with it.

BTW .. I've had the spacers on the X since I bought it when it had 33K and have not experienced any problems so far. I think the X now has 79K miles.

Mount snows Thanksgiving weekend

I live in the same berg as you and I always mount my snows Thanksgiving weekend. This warm weather will only be here for a couple days.

Cheers,

I bought spacers so my non-staggered winter setup would fill the fenders, and it looks great.

Without the spacers it looks much less aggressive and I would even say it is a bad fitment on the car.

I now run them year round, even with the wide rear wheels. It looks very nice IMO

Mine have been on since two weeks ago. When temps go below 45F itis time to switch.

Spacers are only a no-no if you expect to use snow-chains. Spacers reduce the clearance between the fender and the tire and the chain could get caught.

I never use chains and leave the spacers on in the winter.

Yeah, I guess I should put the winter tires on now. The rears have no tread left anyways. Fine in dry but rain is another matter.

They're all mounted and balanced ready to go. I guess another thing to do this weekend.
