Weather Guard in Wheel Well
I've been searching the forums but can't find a related article..
The weather guard in the wheel well of my front passenger side became loose and has over time (unknowingly by me) been ground down on a portion of it.. The rivets that are still in hold it from being ground down any more so here's my questions Is this piece important? I understand it may decrease my aerodynamics and make a little wind-noise at high speeds but does it serve any purpose? What is this piece called? so i can find it.. I worked at a body shop and we always referred to it as weather guard but I can't find the part online...

You mean what BMW calls the wheel housing cover? Its #4 or #5 at the realoem link below.

Thanks. Think I might try and find this at a junk yard depending on price.. it doesn't seem important enough to put too much consideration into it..
