2006 4.8is highway sway

I searched for this problem but wasnt able to find any answers. I just changed back over to stock summer tires (275/40-20 front, 315/35-20 rear) and I have a slight but noticeble "sway" when changing lanes, is this normal with the wider tires or is there a problem? Any advice is appreciated

NO,from my experience..wider tires makes me take more risks on turns changing lanes..knowing that wide tires grab harder on pave....check the stabilizer?...or others here will post more..goodluck

A bit of tramlining is normal with wide tires. All road surfaces or possibly just on asphalt that has ruts/grooves from heavy traffic?

It depends. Just check the dust cover of the sway bar links, and shake it to see if any excessive play. Replace it if the dust cover is broken or any excessive play found. For the rubber mountings, you may replace it every 100K Kms (60K miles). When replacing the rubber mountings, make sure the screws are tighened to specific torque, no looser or tighter, otherwise your control will get worse.

I think this is the answer to the issue given it has only happened since changing tyres .
I get the same thing happening when swapping between wheel setups .
Summer sports tyres on the 20 inch rims do not flex very much .
