Auto Door locking

Can anyone please confirm if their X does this.
"auto locks the door after you close it."
(Scenario1). You arrive at destination, driver door is physically open. You click the lock button on remote to lock X. All doors lock but driver door is still physically open. You then physically close driver door and the X locks the driver door automaitcally and the alarm arms.

My wife says our X used to do that.. I don't recall it doing it. (Scenario2)What I see happen is door is not locked but X alarm is armed. I press lock again with the door closed then it locks door and arms alarm.

Shoot if she is right then it happened after I gave myself window roll up from the keyfob or when I replaced the battery.

My X5 will do Senario 1 for all, but the drivers door. The drivers door will remain unlocked. In other words, if my drivers door is closed, but another door is open, Senario 1 takes place, but not if the drivers door is open. I have a 2006.

Exactly what happens with my X. Thanks BMWvoid. I was worried I messed up when doing a simple coding or that battery replacement was at fault.
