20" all season tires

Hey all. I posted a similar topic a few days ago but I am looking for more responses. I am looking for a set of all season tires to out on my new 87's. I have done a great deal of research and have really narrowed it down to the Michelin Latitude Tour HP's, Toyo Proxes STII, and the Continental ExtremeContact DWS. Style when it comes to tread pattern is not a strong consideration of mine. I have heard great things about the Conti's. But also that the sidewalls offer a great deal of flex. Can anyone compare any of these tires to my OEM tires (18" Michelin energy mxv4)? As I said before, I am leaning towards the Conti's but am apprehensive due to some reports of squishy sidewalls. Most of my driving is highway driving in the Washington DC metro area. I like to think I don't drive my X too hard but I definitely would not want to be limited by the performance of my tires (within the realms of performance that an all season tire can handle). I have heard that the Conti's are great in the snow and wet, but not so hot in the dry. I have also heard great things about the toyo stii's but that the road noise can be unbearable (have heard very differing reviews with regard to this aspect).

Also, I know the OEM fitment for the 87's calls for 275/40/20 front and 315/35/20 rear. Has anyone gone with higher profile tires, say 45 in the front and 40 in the rear? What would be the highest profile I could get away with without experiencing rubbing issues? I realize that I will be wearing low-pros on these 87's but would like to explore a higher profile than recommended for the sake of my wheels, my wallet, and the seat of my pants (roads where I live aren't the greatest).

Thanks in advance for any advice you guys may provide.
