I think the flickering issue with the LED tail lights or the LED Angel Eyes come from COLD MONITORING of the light circuits - the incandecsent bulbs do not react fast enough to the electrical pulses, thus not light up, the LEDs, having a much faster react time, flicker, as the LKM tests the line for a break. Turning off the COLD MONITORING for a specific light will eliminate the flickering without any capacitors. The circuit will still be monitored by HOT MONITORING, when the LKM continues to check the circuit when the lilght is illuminated.
Also, it seems that in the programming, there is a value for LED light (I have to check to see if it says LED tail or LED something else). Maybe that function will allow the adaptive braking function to remain operational... I have not tried the LED activation in the programming but I have turned off the COLD MONITORING for the LED I use on the factory Angel Eyes in the 4.8... No more flickering.
