Will full size spare fit?

Hey everyone! My first post!

Just bought my first X5 yesterday. I've had 4 e36s prior to this, 3 of which were M3's: 96 328i Boston, 98 M3/4 Black, 99 M3 Estoril and a 98 M3 Alpine Convertible.

Now rolling in a 2002 4.6is, Black on Black... loving it.

Anyway... the previous owner gave me a 20" tire (front size), no rim. He said it could be used as a spare instead of the spare that it comes with. My question is, if I get a 20" rim to fit it, will it even fit in the spare compartment or will it be too wide/rim too deep/etc. I don't want to buy a rim just to see if it works. I have 20" 5 spokes.

I guess I could take the front wheel off to test, but I figured this would be easier.
