Edit 1-23-12: fixed it Intermittent slippage in Tranny
It's not a big problem but every 2 weeks or so on really cold mornings below 20F. My trans slips when I first put it in drive. I stop the car, move the shift selector to park, shut the car off. Then restart in 20 seconds and everything is fine. This has happened 3 times in the last month or 5 weeks.
I just did a drain and refill (50,000 miles) 2 times with Mobil1, dexv1. which is what mt BMW dealer told me to use and have for changes at 90K and 140K. Any thoughts. 2002, 3.0, gm transmission. 144,000 miles. Am I experiencing a sign/idiosyncracy of age or is my transmission going to fail soon?
