New E53 Owner
Since there is no introduction section, I thought I would introduce myself. I just recently bought my 2006 X5 with the 3.0l I6. All I can say right now is AWESOME. I love this thing. She has 93,000 miles on her, and runs great. I have already installed an auxiliary audio input thanks to some of the tips on here. I am looking forward to many more years with my X and look forward to contributing to the site.

I usually do my own maintenance and service on my vehicles so having sites like this come in handy.

This is my first foreign made automobile, but I am already super impressed and will never look back. I'm already looking to buy another BMW or Audi.

I will be posting pictures of my car as soon as she gets washed and waxed.

There are many 3.0s running with well over 150,000 miles with some over 200,000 so feel good about your 93,000 mile "new" X5.

I have the 5 Speed automatic with manual/sport mode. I do love the Sport mode.

Welcome. Be sure to dump and replace all fluids (oil, brake, power steer, transfer case, diffs,) cheap insurance.
