haven't seen this black 'clip'. Does it fail often? I can check my manufacturers in Europe if they make it (and if demand justifies, keep them on the shelf).

Window clips: it is not a bimmer or X5 specific issues. All cars have this problem (that the plastic becomes brittle and fails after a decade or so; and that they all only offer the complete regulator).

I have E46, X5, X3, E90 front and rear clips in stock. Also the 'guide' for the scissor style regulators in 5 and 7 series. And the rear metal 'clip' for the E39 5 series.

Locks for E46, X5 and X3.

Have to check (haven't listed them) what years/models use the door panel fasteners I put on the shelf (and forgot about). Tend to break when removing the door panel, and some bimmer users asked me to stock them. Ah. found it:

Looks like they fit e36 e46 e53 e60:

So tried to fix it with the new parts. Major snafu when I used some lithium to lubricate it. The pins fell out of the cylinder. WTF? It's over $ 500 for a new cylinder lock. Trying to match 720 combinations is not my idea of fun.

^ah that sucks. I was careful to try to avoid disturbing the rear of the cylinder (where the key and pins interface) when I did mine.

Maybe you can line up the pins against your key so you can line them up to the right height?

Or you can just put them any any order, insert the key and get a file to file the pin down down so they are flush with the barrel.
