HELP! before i break something, will this work?

Ok question is can the compressor for the Self leveling suspension be relocated and I mean turned on its side. basically from the horizontal position it is from the factory to a vertical postion.

I wont need to extend anything to do it so thats not an issue. i know the sensors are under the car so that shouldnt be a problem either. Thing that concerns me is if there is oil in the compressor or something that requires it to be mounted horizontally or something to opertate correctly. I dont want to break anything to do with the suspension. Wife will kill me and is already unhappy about the stereo im putting in so if i break something it wont be good.

Reason for this is a sub enclosure im doing and need any extra space i can get. putting in the extra space the battery tray has will give me a good bit more room.
