Time for brakes!!!

I've searched on the board for a couple of hours before asking this, so, here it is:

Has anyone personally tried EBC Green Stuffs AND Red Stuffs? I'm curious about the difference. I'm looking for low dust NO squeeling/sounds of any kind, and still want a decent level of performance.

I noticed a number of posts listing other brands and types, but I've heard good things about EBC pads for quite a while.

So a little advice is appreciated. Thanks!

I never tried the EBC, but I heard some negative feedback from some members in the BMW club.
Personnally, I like Hawk HPS.
They make very little dust, and that dust is silver and doesn't show too much on a silver wheel.
I had them on my E46 and E30 and they don't make noise and brake very well.

How many miles can you expect out of the hawks eps. I got 55,000 out of an aftermarket OEm, so called premium brand, ceramic pad. I forget the brand. I need to replace the barkes again, the warning light just came on.

Akenobo(sp) any good?

The reports I've seen on the Akebonos is enough for me to avoid them.

I am not 100% set on any particular pad as of now, but, I do need to decide soon. The brake lining warning came on, and the rears look thin.

Hi,

I have EBC Red Stuffs rear and Yellow Stuffs front since about one year. Would buy them again. No squealing, perfect braking performance.

Have fun
