oil service DIY help 4.6is

Does anyone have directions to do a DIY oil service and maintence on a 2002 x5 4.6is
I have purchased and K-N air and oil filter
NGK spark plugs also.
I want to get oil next but not sure what to get.
Also not sure how to replace oil filter.
Photos would help

I have oil change kits available HERE for your 4.6is. HERE is a generic DIY on changing the oil in a v8 BMW.

basic diy
BMW TIS - 00 00 249 BMW engine oil service (M60 / M62 / M73)
you might find more on this forum by using the search or articles tab at the top of the page .
here is a diy on a 3.0i engine . the procedure is almost identical http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/...w-x5-3-0i.html
bmw uses castrol synthetic oil 5 / 30 or 0/30 or 0/40
mobil 1 oil is acceptable
the drivers handbook gives info .

+1^ Do a search first. Not to be rude, but these types of questions get asked a thousand times on every forum I've ever seen. There's a wealth of knowledge and info on these boards, help yourself before you ask for help.

These guys are waaaay nicer than other boards I've seen.
