gt1, dis, transmission fluid fill procedure instructions with pics

Oh guys, so you drop your pan, you do your filter, now you have to fill up. Hopefully you can get your hands on a GT1, because I have instructions on how to use this to fill fluid back up to spec.

Start GT1, find car, run quick test.

You get this.

click, control module functions.

You get this screen

Click function selection

select transmission control gs1904, then calibrations, then oil level adjustment

click test plan

You will get this screen

click arrow on bottom right corner. It will bring you here.

click 2, hit next, or bottom right arrow. it will walk you through the rest of the process.

Thanks X outpost and TwinsPoppa for helping me out with this.

StickGT1, that's a nice write up. Can you also post, if you know, the steps on how to turn on and off the pusher fan or the auxiliar air pump. I tried to do it this weekend but for some reason I couldn't get to the right menu.

Fmugur, not sure I can help. My 4.8is does not have an auxiliary air pump. If the car does not have it, GT1 will not pick it up, and I will not be able to even see such an option.

I also have an electric fan on the 4.8is. And yes, when I was messing around with DIS, I did manage to turn it one and off. I didn't write the steps down, but will take a look next time I am "looking for functions".

On a side note, does anyone know anything about this BD - Brake force distribution error I keep seeing in the faults? I keep getting this, do all the tests for IKE, everything works, can't get to the bottom of this error.

I think it might be because of the version of DIS. I had that same error from the very beginning of using the GT1. I could never clear it and never found out the bottom line.

I'm willing to bet others who use the older DIS versions, which can also program/code, get the same error. I'm pretty sure I saw screenshots of at least one other person using their GT1 and I saw the same exact error on their screen.

Wow thank god. You don't even know how long I have been running all the tests and configs, and services to get this damn thing to go away, or at least figure out what the problem is.
