Happiness is....

Four inches of new snow, empty early morning roads and a nice X5 with winter shoes. Today was a good day.

Got yer sleds hooked up yet? I understand lots of snowmobile trails in UP; late start to the season out here.

Cool Pic, G! Nice color and composition, imo.
Remote, or wife/kid in back seat?
How about some details of the photo...

For those who want to try this:

Camera is on a tripod in the back seat stabilized by two 5-pound dumbbell plates.

Camera: D3
Lens: Nikon 17-24mm f2.8 set at 17mm
Remote: pair of pocket wizards.

ISO 200 f/8 at 1/6 sec. X5 was only traveling at 40kph (25mph?) well within the speed limit. the speedometer needle was photoshoped to read 160kph (100mph).

Damn, where the hell is our snow. I feel like I got screwed this winter. I'm so mad.

Great looking pic by the way. Really cool.

This was the last snowfall NJ got. Got extreme brake cooling as the snow packed on when going sideways.
