Exclamation the trans is having a nervous brake down?

I need some advice. My trans on my 01 4.4i gave me a trans safe falt prog. I drive the thing normally and this came on. I was still able to use all of the gears and is not only in 4th. Reverse is fine and all of the other gears are good. After is turn off the car/truck for 5 min or so, no code will be on the display. The only thing that I can thing of that is a little strange is when in 5th manual the lock up will take a minute to kick in. it still pulls hard in all gears and will not slip. Any thoughts?

I forgot to add that the first time this happened the brake light (not the park brake) came on and the ABS light came on and the traction control light came on. It started to look like a pin ball machine.

I think sometimes when u r low on brake fluid, brake light lights up yellow and traction control light comes on...not sure if it would cause a trans fail safe to pop on. Sorry I'm not any more help.

Can't really help, but I had the trans failsafe when I drained my battery and the car wouldn't start. Then I booster it, and got the message. Drove out of garage, let it idle for a min, took it around the block, everything was fine. Turned off car, started up again, no messages and all the other funny lights went away.
