how do i clean junk off valvetops?

my intake manifold is off and there is some junk on top of the valves, looking down throught the intake port. it is very small stuff, bug parts, maybe a bit of dirt/grim from removal process, but it is noticable. im obviously worried about it getting sucked into the motor, is there a way to get that out of there that doesn't require buying anything or do i just run it? will post pics in a sec.

Gun cleaner on a cotton bud , nitrosolv
or use a quality fuel system cleaner in the tank and let it do the work .
