Radio Pinouts w/nav for 2001 x5

Out of my own frustration of trying to get the radio wiring harness information for my 01 x5 w/nav; I wanted to share some of my research with you in hope it will save you sometime searching. I am planning to install a Pioneer AVIC D3 and had concerns about the VSS. Notice pin out 10 GAL - speed singal. This is what I found:

As you can see, for what ever reason, the drawings did not copy. If you pm me with your email I can get them to you (they are very useful for wiring any aftermarket radio).

2000 - 2001 Radio Module - w/Nav

Pin No. / Function

1 / Speaker - Front Left (+)
2 / Speaker - Front Right (+)
3 / Speaker - Rear Left (+)
4 / Telephone Mute
5 / +12v from ignition (ACC and RUN)
6 / Speaker - Rear Right (+)
7 / DAC - i-bus
8 / Speaker - Front Left (-)
9 / Back Up (?) (terminal 30 - Fuse F56)
10 / GAL - speed signal
11 / Speaker Front Right (-)
12 / Speaker Rear Left (-)

16 / Auto Antenna - diversity
17 / Not Used (LAC)

I hope this helps. I know if I did not had to spent most of my week researching for this info I would have had the unit by now.
