X5 hire - any ideas?

Hi, i'm new to this forum but I couldn't think of a better group to ask this to!*

I'm looking to buy a 2000 X5 but I'm trying to hire one for a couple of days in the meantime to visit some places in the UK and try out the car.

The problem is that most car hire places only hire out the new model which I'm not looking at buying due to mu budget!

Does anyone know where I could hire one for a couple of days in the UK?*

You could always just test drive several to get a feel for the vehicle.

I've never liked test drives as you don't get to try the car as you'd use it day-to-day and you get a salesman preaching at you during it. I prefer to try the car myself without pressure and to enjoy various styles of driving. My job involves constant travelling and the right car choice is critical for me!

I've always liked the X5 and am keen to try one out. I've been reading the forums and people seem to enjoy owning them and it's started getting me tempted!

If your job requires constant traveling you probably don't want an X. Just the fuel consumption alone would prevent it.
