Plans for my E53! Suggestions are welcome!

Hey again!
So if you saw my member introduction thread you'll know i'm a newbie (or you can just see the counter on the top right showing 2 posts ). My 2003 E53 4.4 is gonna be in my driveway in 2-3 weeks. Some pix been posted on this thread http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...bie-forum.html.

This is what's in plan as soon as she arrives:

1- Chrome rings for the cluster
2- Grey overlays for the cluster (same on the E53 4.6 sport)
3- Upgrading the cheap aftermarket projectors and angel eyes to Depo (heard they're the best)
4- Vinyl Wrapping the x5 to Matte / Flat color
5- 20 inch Replica rims (haven't decided which yet)
6- Further down the line planning on installing the kit from the E53 4.6.

For the wrapping I was so sure I wanted Matte Black but a quick search on google and the different forums I don't think it looks as great as I thought would be

I may be wrong or the pictures I saw weren't really up to the expectations! If any got suggestions go ahead and share

The gauge rings are easy and inexpensive. Most of the eBay versions are aluminum and take a little fitting. For 20 inch replicas I would go with Style 87 or Style 177 has always been a favorite of mine.

If you must do a matte wrap, instead of black, how about matte white? Internet photos probably don't represent it well.

Perfect! From what we tend to see coming out of Saudi and UEI, that combination of colors would fit right in.

Thanks for the replies! White is classy, I personally like the pearl white and seen some wrapped nicely but not an E53...

Give a guy a break... Already being judged for being from Saudi ! I'm a resident here on work basis and not a local. I'm sure you've seen alot of Purple, Orange, Pink and other exotic colors lol!

I'm definitely not in the same boat as those so called modders! The deal I got is too good to be true actually but the color isn't that great

I can always work around that with nicer rims, a kit and some depo projectors of course... The color change is just an idea been bouncing back and forth... If you must know I was looking at a black or a Estoril Blue that comes on the sport..

Nothing funky and out of normal.. End of the day it's my daily driver and wouldn't appreciate being mocked at work

Awesome! I'll be sure to stalk your page / posts to take a look ! I think it's like a dark champagne! If you could pass the paint code that would be great!

I believe that is called "Stratus Gray". It has a different appearance depending on how sunlight is hitting it. It can be a little champagne, brown, or gray.

EDIT: On second thought, I think it's Kalahari Beige.

The 4.6/4.8is kit looks great and as I posted earlier, the Style 177 wheels are beautiful and unique.

Haha wasn't having a dig at the location, I've got mates who live in Abu Dhabi and one of them drives a white M3, the only time it's white is for the 20 minutes after he gets it washed, the rest of the time there is a layer of sand dust on it that turns it a brown pearl
