Frozen door locks - Common Problem ?

Well I guess you can another one to the frozen door lock problem. Got it this morning. When got the drivers side door open, the door wouldn't close. I pushed this latch thing where the door catches metal bar and the door finally closed. But then now, the door wouldn't even open as I pull the handle. The car locks fine with the remote and the key but still the door doesn't open. I pray to God that I didn't snap a cable or something in the door mechanism. I guess i'll wait and see how the day goes when the temp goes up to see of the door will open. This is very frustrating... had to put the kids in their car seats then climb through the passenger side.
