Cpl questions

I did a search and came up empty on most my questions so here we go....all questions pertaining to a 2003 x5 3.0i

1. I read that pushing the arrow button on the keyfob opens all the windows and sunroof. This does not work on mine. If I put the key in the door and hold it to the left it does however. Did this not work on all models?

2. If I remove the rear canisters on the exhaust and just run straights from the main muffler to the rear, will it toss any codes? Has anybody done this? If so how did it sound?

3. If my model did not come with a subwoofer box in the rear are the connectors still present and can I tap into them?

4. (read about this but couldnt find the thread) In the morning and ONLY in the morning on initial movement, going from R to D it hesitates and slams into D unless I kick it over into manual.

I have more but I dont want to clutter. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

You have to hold the button for a few seconds, just like holding the key in the lock. Should work on all models

Only those with DSP sond system has subwoofer in the rear. In your case, no connectors. You need an amp to drive the subwoofer.

I have no answer for the other questions.

Yea holding the button down does not work for some reason. As for the sub I know I need a amp, I was just curious if the sub box plug was present or not. thx for the input.

1. Strange, maybe someone removed it via coding? Maybe your key is not programmed correctly, or the battery is weak and can't hold a steady signal.

2. Search X pipe. Not sure if it applies to your 3.0

3. I really don't know.

4. I would do a drain and fill on the transmission fluid.
