E53 4.8is prices

Do you guys think that the KBB is fair with the values. I have a friend who is selling his Lemans Blue 4.8is with 79,000. Great condition. He told me he would sell it for 23,000. KBB is 23,400. I don't want to screw over my friend, but feel that based on my searching, I have seen 4.8is with 50-60,00 miles for about 25,000. I think that maybe 21,000 would be my offer. What do you guys think. Oh, and he does not have stock rims, he put MRR 22 deep dish. I prefer stock, but I could always buy some style 87's.

Thanks

I just sold my fully loaded '06 with 76k for very close to that number. If you ever want one you should jump on it.

A well cared for 4.8is is worth something. If you keep trying to drop by $500 it'll cost you three times that in repairs from someone not so retentive.

Good luck in your continued search

What year?

Leave the stock rims or get some name brand after market.

It's a 2005. It is fully loaded. He doesn't have the stock rims. He currently has the mrr 22 and set winter wheels. I would rather have stock. That would be more money to invest

Just for info, every 4.8is was loaded. If your friend took good care of the truck and had it serviced when necessary, it could be a nice car for a fair price. Just make sure you are sure what you're getting into. Good luck.

Just sold my 05 4.8is, LeMans Blue, with 86k for $20k. I listed it for $21k. Kept getting low balling idiots offering me $18k.

I had warranty left, full records, and BMW-dealership repairs done through the warranty.

I thought the heated steering wheel, sliding floor, navigation, running boards were options. They were for the 4.6is. Can't find any nice 4.6 so thinking of buying this 4.8is. Its nice inside to. Its got the blue checkered alcantara seats and blue trim.

That is a rare option. You will not find that easily.
