Hi,

the Porsche truck compared with the X. That is unfair. Just look at how they look different.

Best, Helmuth

I was in the market for a Cayenne when i bought my X5. I loved how the Cayenne looked but it just felt odd driving it compared to the X. I drove every type of Cayenne in the year range i was looking for. Twin turbo, 6, and the 8s. Now the twin turbo is a totally different monster andis wicked fast but you were asking about the 6s. My advice, drive them both and get whichever one you like. At the end of the day whos opinion really matters besides yours? Or your wifes....

These two trucks have different driving dynamics, looks, specs.........drive them both and decide for yourself.

I don't like the "Dove bar left out in the sun to melt" look of the dark ones.

Just got a 2006 Cayenne S. I have a 2005 X5 but only a 3.0 so of course I love the way the Cayenne S drives but I love the look of my X5. If I knew what I know now, I would have gotten a 4.8 X5 but at the time thought the 3.0 would be good enough.

I agree the look of the Cayenne is an aquired taste. My husband just had his M3 totaled (idiot ran a stop sign)so I went for safety and made his get a Cayenne since one X5 is enough for now

I own a Cayenne CTT V8 and 2 X5's, porsche is faster, but the X5 is a tank! Go for at least the S (4.5 V8) with the cayenne, its a lot better that the V6!
