Yes they are. They require that you send back your old strut assembly as a core when you order a complete unit from them. I only purchased the bag portion when I replaced mine so I didn't have to send anything back to them. I think the core charge is $100 and refunded once they receive the old parts which must include the tiny o-rings for some strange reason.

Hey guys! Not trying to hijack this thread but, need some help.

A couple months back I had the bright idea to adjust the height adjustment sensor in front to have a lowered look. Yeah... Like I said, bright!

Anyway, went over a "bumpy" railroad track and the air springs bottomed out and hit pretty hard. I adjusted the height back to where the flat spots are on the control arm.

I'm wondering if the strut has an internal mechanical spring as well that may be damaged or "weak" now? Although the ride height is normal, on occasion, it feels like the front wheels have a little more bounce than prior to my cranial rectalitis moment.

Thanks in advance!

If it hit really hard to the vehicle body, the piston inside the air spring may be damaged. As you said the ride feel is more bounce, then I guess the strut is damaged, you may have to replace the whole strut with air bag. Also check your car body to see if there is any damage to the body.
